Error message: 'The server responded: +OK 810 octets follow.'

SCENARIO;
"octets follow" means that there is an email on the server that Outlook cannot download. Most of the time we find that the emails are "long" rather than large. Other reasons include malformed email messages (like one with no subject or no body).

HOW TO FIX;
The user has to login via webmail to delete and purge the offending email message(s).

Problems sending emails with Outlook 2007 / Vista

When you try to sent emails Outlook reports: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1).
To fix this go to the account properties - Outgoing Server and select 'Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail'.
