Registrant required to verify China Domain Name registration information
With effect from 25 June 2010, all CNNIC domain name holders will be required to verify their registration information via the newly-implemented online process.
Following the creation of a new registrant ID, each registrant will be requested by CNNIC via email to confirm, by clicking on a link, that the information they have submitted to their Registrar is true, accurate and complete. This email will be sent to all registrants of domain names registered through foreign registrars, regardless of when the domain name is registered.
After domain application has passed auditing, a confirmation email will be generated to the registrant. This applies to all domains registered with or without MIIT CIP number.
In the event domain name registration information is not confirmed within 15 days from receipt of notification, the domain name may be subject to suspension or deletion.
Each registrant ID will need to go through this process only once. Subsequent domain name registrations, domain name transfers and information changes will not require this verification to CNNIC.
