.TEL will launch in 16 Languages on 15 June 2010

.TEL international domain names will be available for registration on a first come, first served basis in 16 languages from Tuesday 15th June 2010, 22:00 hours (GMT +8).
The languages supported will be Chinese, Danish, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. More languages are expected to be added in the future, depending on community feedback as well as language table availability.
With this launch, businesses that use native scripts in their brand names will be able to register .tel domain names in their own native languages. This launch would also benefit individuals who have names like Jörn, Júlia, Bjørn, Chlöe or Błażej.

Launch of 2nd Sunrise Phase for .рф Domain Names
|

With the launch of .рф Domain Names, you can now have your website name in the Russian languages using the Cyrillic alphabet to facilitate your Russian branding efforts and provide a whole new online experience for your users.
The 2nd Sunrise Phase for .рф Domain Names will start on 12th May and last till 16 Sep 2010. During this phase, holders of Russian or international trademarks designating Russia are entitled to submit “Sunrise Phase 2” registration applications. There is no date restriction on when the trademark was acquired, nor base language of trademark. All registrations will be handled on a first-come first served basis. Thus, in the event multiple registrations are received for the same domain name, the allocation will go to the applicant who first meets the registration requirements.

Reach local markets in New Zealand using Maori Language Domain Names
|

Individuals and businesses located anywhere in the globe can now register, under the .nz domain name space, internationalised domain names with macronised vowels in the Māori language, an official language under New Zealand law. With this launch, domain names can be registered using a combination of English (Latin) alphabet characters a-z, digits, the ‘-’ hyphen, and characters ā, ē, ī, ō and ū.
Available extensions for registration of Internationalised Domain Names include:
ac.nz — Tertiary educational institutions and related organisations
co.nz — Organisations pursuing commercial aims and purposes
net.nz — Organisations and service providers directly related to the NZ Internet
org.nz — Not-for-profit organisations
gen.nz — Individuals and other organisations not covered elsewhere
geek.nz — For people who are concentrative, technically skilled and imaginative who are generally adept with computers
maori.nz — Māori people, groups, and organisations
māori.nz — Māori people, groups, and organisations
school.nz — Primary, secondary and pre-schools and related organisations
Registrations will be opened in two phases:
IDN Sunrise Phase: from now till 6 July 2010: To avoid potential disputes, customers who wish to register an IDN variant of their existing ASCII domain names can apply during this phase
General Launch Phase from 26 July 2010: This phase will be launched In conjunction with New Zealand Maori Language Week. All individuals and businesses can begin registration on a first-come-first served basis.

Sunrise Phase: from Monday 31st of May 2010 to Monday 12th July 2010 This phase is dedicated for any entity or individual who has a registered trade name or mark with Ministry of Trade and Industry in Saudi Arabia, including all governmental or semi-governmental authorities and organizations
Landrush Phase: from Monday 27th September 2010 onwards The phase when applications for registration of Arabic domain names will be accepted from members of the general public.

Verisign has announced that an annual increment will be imposed on new registrations, renewals and transfers between registrars for all .com and .net domain names with effect from 1st July 2010. Accordingly, this increment will be reflected in our prices offered to our customers and partners. To view the updated prices applicable to you, please log in to your account from 1st July 2010 onwards.
All existing terms and conditions for .COM and .NET remain unchanged.
