Single Character Domain Name now Available

SGNIC announced the launch of Single Character Domain Names (SCDN) on 12 November 2008. Single-alpha character (i.e. A to Z) domain names will be open for registrations in all 7 categories: .sg, .com.sg, .org.sg, .net.sg, .edu.sg, .gov.sg, .per.sg. The base price is SGD21,400 (inclusive 7% GST) per SCDN, therefore non-contested names will still be charged this amount by SGNIC. All SCDN applications must include a deposit of SGD5,000 (GST of 7% will be applied later). The entire allocation exercise will commence on 1 Dec 2008 and end on 27 Mar 2009.

When submitting your SCDN online here, please select the extension + "-singlechar", for example if you are interested in SCDN under com.sg, you should select ".com.sg-singlechar". This extension denotes your intention to apply for SCDN, however when the SCDN is allocated and activated, the "-singlechar" ending will be removed.
