.SG Numeric Domain Name
- You can claim priority if you have a number mark registered in Singapore with IPOS (Intellectual Property Office of Singapore). You must demonstrate that the number mark registered in Singapore is represented only in numerals and not being a device mark, nor a word mark or numeral mark combined with a device or other composite mark. The number mark must be valid and subsisting in Singapore as of the date of the application for the NDN.
- Complete the Priority Claim Form before 28 Dec 2007 and send fax it to IP Mirror at +65-62220210.
- If there are no other applications claiming priority for your NDN, SGNIC will allocate the NDN to you subject to payment of an Allocation Fees set up at the Premium NDNs. If there are multiple applicants of the same NDN, the allocation will go to the highest bidder. - The results of all allocations will be announced on the SGNIC website on 25 Feb 2008. There will a period of 2 weeks from the announcement date till 10 Mar 2008 provided for the public to raise any objections to any allocation decision. Applications will be placed on hold if there is any objection till a decision has been reached.
- If there are no objections to your allocated NDN, your NDN will be activated on 27 Mar 2008.
Bidding Process
- When there are more than one application for the same NDN, applicantswill be invited to bid for the NDN. The one with the highest bid will be allocated the NDN.
- A Bid Deposit must be paid to SGNIC and which is refundable to unsuccessful bidders. Please see here for Bid Deposit amount according to the category of premium NDN. [ Click here to view Bid Deposit amount ]
- You will be notified via an official email from SGNIC by 17 Jan 2008. Training will be provided to bidders to familiarise themselves with the online bidding mechanism.
- On top of the allocation or final bid price which shall be paid directly to SGNIC, the normal domain name registration fees shall be payable to IP Mirror.
- The final price, less the Bid Deposit submitted, must be paid to SGNIC before the expiry of the Bid Payment Deadline. Cheque, cashier’s order and money order are accepted. They are to be made payable to "SINGAPORE NETWORK INFORMATION CENTRE (SGNIC) PTE LTD". The applicant’s name and the NDN applied for must be indicated on the back of the cheque, cashier’s order and money order. Payment must be within 14 calendar days after.
- All bid prices and allocation fees are exclusive of GST.
- Deposits will be refunded to applicants who are unsuccessful in their bidding.
Objection
You can lodge an objection/complaint against SGNIC's decision by filling up an Objection Form and send it to SGNIC. The Objection Form must be submitted within 14 calendar days from the announcement of SGNIC's allocation results. Your objection will be considered by a Panel which will decide within 30 calendar days of your submission under normal circumstances. The decision of the Panel will be final.
